Vanilla Maple Frosting
Cutting back on sugar is much more doable when you have healthy options. Here is one that I know you'll love. It's a great replacement for the sugar-laden store-bought frosting. Use this on your cakes, cupcakes, heck, even some cookies and muffins. Yum!
Vanilla Maple Frosting
1 ½ cups cold heavy cream
2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese
½ cup pure maple syrup
½ cup cocoa powder
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
In a medium bowl using an electric mixer or whisk, whip the cream until stiff. N a large bowl using an electric mixer, or in the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, whip the cream cheese until smooth, and then blend in the maple syrup and vanilla. Fold in the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture using a spatula.
