Your Body & Home
According to the Merriam-Webster Online Dictionary, the word DETOXIFY simply means to remove a poisonous or harmful substance from (something). Recent studies have shown alarming quanities of toxins not only in our food, but also in cleaning products and products we use daily all over our body. These toxins are causing a miriad of health problems, some that you may not even know are causing them!
So what's one to do? Detoxify Your Home & Body for optimum health!
Once I got to a point with cleaning up our diet to include REAL, fresh, non-processed foods, I was ready to "unprocess" my hygiene. I like things simple, so seeing my shower and laundry room with less plastic bottles and health-threatening chemicals makes me super happy. I love that I can buy large quanitites of vinegar (& other super-cheap products) and have multiple uses for it.
During this exciting event:
PART 1: You'll first learn about the super harmful ingredients that you'll want to make sure you keep your family safe from. Many pose sneaky side effects that you may be suffering from and don't even know it. You might even be surprised what popular products in your own home contain them. You'll then learn about the ingredients (& products) to look FOR instead when choosing the right product - Soothing, nurturing ingredients that have added benefits to products without posing a threat to you or your family's health.
PART 2: Move on over to the DIY Stations, where you will create your own toxin-free products that YOU CHOOSE (during registration) and take home with you.
WHEN YOU REGISTER, YOU CHOOSE THE DIY & TOXIN-FREE PRODUCTS YOU WISH TO MAKE:
*All Purpose Spray
You can choose 1 or all 6, it's up to you! Upon registering, you'll receive an email with a list of products to bring with you to the workshop. Most are household items, such as honey, distilled water, apple cider vinegar, measuring cups/spoons, etc.
We'll supply the essential oils, amber spray bottles and mason jars w/pumps.
You simply bring in the everyday items and go home with DIY products you can use right away.
How convenient is that?!
There are many different reasons to choose DIY health & body products, but here are my favorite:
*Potential overall cost savings - Although upfront you may spend more, most products you will get multiple uses out of. For instance, for my body wash recipe, the Jojoba Oil and Vitamin E oil lasts me about 20+ jars, since I only use 1 or 2 teaspoons each jar. Same goes for aloe vera gel and (even moreso for) distilled water for the hand sanitizer. Plus, if you choose to purchase the essential oil bottles, each bottle has about 80 drops, and you only use 2 drops each for 1 batch of sanitizer. That's a LOT of non-toxic goodness!
*Health benefits of essential oils - Did you know that peppermint essential oil is great for headaches, Lavendar is amazing for calming, aiding in sunburn relief, AND can help with acne? Tea Tree oil has amazing disinfectant properties that you can add to DIY cleaners, face wash, etc.? That's just the beginning! There are multiple, healthful benefits of essential oils, so you'll get more than your fair share of value!
*CLEAN up your home - Most people think the smell of strong conventional cleaners is the tell-tale sign of cleanliness. However, we are now realizing it's simply the opposite - those harsh fumes can be toxic to your family's health. And, if you're like me with young kids, knowing that if my toddler licks the window, they are not also licking Windex. Plus, I love that I can clean around my kids knowing that the potential over-spray that they may breath in is not going to make them sick. Your home will smell so much fresher.
