You honestly HAVE to try this. I will never buy this dressing again - because it's so easy to make my own. You just add the FIVE ingredients to a jar and shake. That's it! SO MUCH healthier, SO MUCH cheaper. I recently used this exact recipe on a Summer Party Salad recipe and it was D-LISH! I also use it on spinach salads for lunch, and I've even put a small line in a wrap for added taste.

Homemade Balsamic Vinaigrette

Makes 1 cup

INGREDIENTS

  • 1/2 cup extra balsamic vinegar

  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil

  • 1 teaspoon whole grain mustard (I use Whole Foods 365 Brand Dijon Mustard)

  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt

  • 1/8 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

INSTRUCTIONS

Place all ingredients in a container with a tight-fitting lid (a mason jar works great). Shake vigorously for 30 seconds until emulsified.

For a single serving, use one tablespoon each vinegar and oil, a small dab of mustard (about 1/8 teaspoon and just small pinch of salt and pepper.
