Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting

If you or the kids aren't fans of my seriously dark chocolate frosting, this is a great option for you! Much milder and so easy to make, and so much healthier than that store-bought stuff loaded with refined sugar and unhealthy oils.

Chocolate Cream Cheese Frosting

2 (8-ounce) packages cream cheese

½ cup pure maple syrup

½ cup cocoa powder

2 teaspoons vanilla extract

pinch of salt

In a large bowl using an electric mixer, or in the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment, beat all the ingredients on high speed until light and fluffy. Cover the frosting and chill it in the refrigerator until it is stiff enough to spread, about 30 minutes.
